Privacy Policy
FrameFolio collects one thing on purpose: an email address, if you give us one. Everything else here is a description of the small amount that happens automatically.
This is a small editorial site about portfolio website builders. It has no accounts, no logins, no comment section and no user profiles, which removes most of the reasons a website usually holds personal data. What follows is the whole of it.
Email addresses
If you enter your email address in a sign-up field on this site, we store it in order to send you occasional notes about new reviews and changes to platform pricing. We store the address and the date you gave it to us. We do not ask for your name, your profession or anything else, and there is no profile attached to the address. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes the address rather than flagging it.
Analytics
We keep basic, aggregate analytics so we know which pages are read and which are ignored: page views, referring sites, approximate country, and broad device type. This is used to decide what to write next. It is not used to build a profile of you, it is not joined to your email address, and it is not sold, licensed or shared with advertisers. Server logs, which every website keeps, hold IP addresses briefly for security and are then discarded.
Cookies
The site itself sets no advertising cookies and runs no ad network. Analytics and the email sign-up may set a small number of functional cookies. Following an outbound link to a platform we recommend will usually set a cookie belonging to that platform, which is how referrals are attributed — the mechanics are described on the affiliate disclosure page. Your browser can block or clear all of these, and nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Outbound links
Some links to platforms we review earn us a commission if you subscribe. Once you leave this site you are on the vendor's property and their privacy policy applies, not ours — we receive no information about you from them beyond an anonymous notification that a referral converted. Our full affiliate disclosure explains which links these are and how they are marked.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, in any quantity, to anyone, for any price. We do not run retargeting, we do not operate a data partnership, and we do not pass email addresses to the platforms we review. If a company approaches us about buying our list, the answer is no and there is no negotiation after it.
Requests about your data
Write to [email protected] and ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask for it deleted. In practice the answer is an email address and a date, and deletion takes a few minutes. We will act on any such request within thirty days and normally much sooner. If this policy changes materially, the revised version replaces this page and subscribers are told in the next message rather than left to notice.
